Irritable Bowel Syndrome : cleaning methods

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Cleaning the colon helps to get rid of the remnants of substances stuck in the walls of the colon, as these residues are harmful as they can enter the bloodstream causing side effects, such as fatigue, bloating, skin irritation, weight gain, and some other health symptoms.

There are several ways that can be done to clean the colon, namely as follows:

1. Drinking water

Drinking water is an easy way to clean the colon and even one of the easiest ways, as water helps soften stool stuck in the intestines and facilitates its exit through the colon.

People with dehydration suffer from impaired colon movement, so the body absorbs water from the colon to compensate for the deficiency, which in turn contributes to the accumulation of toxic residues.

Therefore, it is recommended to drink enough water daily, as some people think that the consumption of water contained in coffee and juices is sufficient, but drinking pure water is more useful.

One study also showed that drinking more than 4 glasses of water a day helps get rid of constipation, and protect against colon cancer.

2. Vegetable and fruit juice

Vegetables and fruits contain many elements that help clean the colon, such as: fiber, and natural sugars that act as laxatives, such as: sorbitol sugar, fructose.

It is recommended to consume the following types of juices, which are the best for cleaning the colon:

Apples with the presence of the outer peel.

Prunes.

Pears.

Bananas.

Kiwi.

Grapes.

Peaches.

Kaka.

Lemon.

It is not recommended to obtain fruit extract to produce juice, because this process requires the use of several kernels of fruits, which cause problems for the kidneys and liver, so it is usually recommended to squeeze the fruit grain completely and without discarding any part to get the benefit and full fiber.

3. Fiber

Fiber helps increase the weight of feces in the colon, thereby reducing the time it takes for it to stay inside the colon and accelerate its exit from the body, as the following foods are a rich source of fiber:

Nuts.nuts.

Whole grains.

Seeds.

Berries.

Legumes.

Dietary supplements containing fiber can be taken for people who cannot fully get fiber from food.

4. Fermented foods

Fermented foods contain many beneficial bacteria that maintain the health of the colon, as these beneficial bacteria help in the movement of the colon, accelerate the process of stool and food residues out of the body, and thus contribute to getting rid of the symptoms of gas, bloating, constipation, and inflammation.

Here are some examples of fermented foods that contain beneficial bacteria:

Milk.

Apple cider vinegar.

Kefir.

Pickled cabbage.

Pickles of all kinds.

Some types of cheeses.

5. Complex starches

Some foods contain complex starches, which are difficult for the body to break down, as most complex starches remain intact without any digestion in the colon, which increases the weight of feces and carries it out of the body, thereby cleaning the colon.

Here are some foods that contain complex starches:

Potatoes and sweet potatoes.

Beets.

Sugar cane.

Green bananas.

Apple juice.

Stems, tubers, plant roots.

Rice.

Buckwheat and millet.

White bread.

6. Herbal tea

Herbal tea may help clean the colon and maintain its health, as laxative herbs can be used, such as: psyllium, aloe vera.

But it is advisable to consult a doctor before consuming these herbs, and it is also advisable to consume them in moderation, as their abundance is harmful to human health.
